Learn to Fly
The cost of learning
to fly is normally a reason not to taking to the skies, BUT at Shenington
Gliding Club our fees are less than most golf clubs.
>> Gliding is
one of the cheapest forms of flying <<
We offer excellent
value for money and training to suit your pocket.
We operate ASK13 which are two seater, mid wing
aircraft and we consider these to be the ideal training aircraft.
| You must complete an approved course of training
in order to obtain your Glider Wings. You can fly as often as you like
as we are open 7 days a week and we recommend that whilst you are learning
you fly once a week. The total time taken to complete the course depends
on factors such as the time that you have available and the continuity
of the lessons. There are no minimum requirement of flying hours to go
solo, it all depends on your ability to learn and it is possible to complete
the course in a matter of a few months! |
 |
 |
There are no upper or lower age limits on learning
to fly but you must be 16 years of age before you can fly 'solo'.
We are a dedicated flying training club and we
are open 7 days a week. We have a licensed bar that is open to members
and their guests and we endeavour to make the acquisition of you Wings
as easy and enjoyable as possible. |
On completion of your training you can hire our
aircraft from as little as 20p per minute. We have eight club aircraft
and we can provide additional training to allow you to fly them.
We offer, at any time to suit you, a trial lesson
which is a full 'hands on' experience and which can be logged as part of
your course if you wish to continue training.
I hope that this information answers
the questions that you may have but if you require any further information
please ring us. We are here 7 days per week
