All courses and trial lessons are available as gift vouchers and include instruction in a 2 seater glider with a BGA qualified Instructor. Not only will you be able to soak in the breathtaking views but you will get to try out the controls for yourself. Its a great experience for anyone at any time of the year.

All trial lessons give you 3 months free temporary membership of Shenington Gliding Club.
This means you can return as a temporary member and fly at Club Rates for the next three months.
After your FREE 3 months trial if you think gliding is for you, then join the club.

Vouchers are redeemable during the 12 months after purchase by calling the office to book.
- Trial Lessons can be booked at weekends all year or any day March to October 2012.
- Courses can be booked midweek March to October.

Launch behind a tow plane in a 2-seater glider with a BGA qualified Instructor to a height of 2000ft, once released from the tow plane you will be able to enjoy the amazing views of Oxfordshire, your instructor will demonstrate how the glider flies and then you will have the opportunity to have a go yourself.

This extended flight is great value as you will have much more time to enjoy the views and if you wish have more time with you flying the glider.

Equivalent flying in motor glider and winch launching may be offered for training and operational needs. This is to give you value for money and ensure you get the most training opportunity out of your course.
* Equivalent flying may be offered for trial lessons so that a 2000ft aerotow can be 3 winch launches or 15 minutes in a motor glider, a 3000ft aerotow can be 4 winch launches or 20 minutes in a motorglider

Choose a course between 1 and 5 days, great as a holiday or a 5 day intensive experience. Courses run midweek between March and October and you will fly in a 2-seater glider with a professional BGA qualified Instructor. You will get to learn how to control the glider, your instructor will work with you to progress at a rate to suit you.

We GUARANTEE the number of flights on an equivalent basis, we hope to exceed your expectations and its important that bad weather and operational issues do not disrupt your training schedule. So we will credit you any flying owed so that you can re-book at a convenient time.

Height : 5’ to 6’4” (152-193cm)
Age : Minimum 14 yrs, 16 yrs for solo. No maximum!
Medical : suitable for driving, discuss with instructor if unsure. Disability is not necessarily a barrier to gliding, we would be pleased to discuss your needs.
