Shenington AirfieldThe airfield is 15 min North of Banbury, approximately. 45 minutes from Birmingham or Oxford and about an hour from West London. Please avoid towing a trailer through Shenington village - see note below.
From the M40- Leave the M40 at Junction 11 - Go through Banbury, taking the A422 towards Stratford-upon-Avon - Shenington village is signposted left from the A 422, 5 miles from Banbury. Shenington Village- Go through the Shenington village along the main twisty road - The airfield entrance is half a mile beyond the end of the village, on the right. ![]() Towing a trailerIf you are towing a trailer please avoid the village. - Leave the M40 at Junction 11 - Go through Banbury, taking the A422 towards Stratford (signposted to Wroxton) - Following the signs to "Shenington airfield", continue on the A422 past the left turn to Shenington. - Take the next left turn off the A422 (signposted Sugarswell Industrial Estate) - Go down the road for a mile, then turn left at the crossroads (towards Shutford) - At the next junction, turn left towards Shenington Village. - The airfield entrance is about 200m beyond the junction, on the left.
On the AirfieldGo first to the clubhouse, where there there will normally be some club members and/or a "status board" for the day. If there is no-one there, drive carefully to the launch point parking area, keeping a good lookout at all times for aircraft landing or taking off |
