References and Acknowledgements

One of the reasons for writing this history down is preserve memories of events. Although I have researched the facts to the best of my ability, the information is mainly based on recollections and information from club members, local residents and various literature (listed below). I have tried to capture some of the major events that formed and moulded the club, inevitably there will by many events I have not covered. I hope you will forgive me any inaccuracies and omissions.

Since writing this article, the club's President and first CFI, Reg Curwen, died peacefully at his home in Ratley on 28th November 2001. He was a real influence on the Club and all its members and will be sadly missed. Our wishes go out to Ivy his wife and his family.
