Please note the requirement set out in the conditions below (Click on this link) Temporary MembershipFor temporary membership use this form and contact the office by phone or email There are no upper or lower age limits on learning to fly but you must be 16 years of age before you can fly solo. If you are heavier than 16st 4lb (228lb, 103 kg), you may not be able to fly in our gliders as most gliders have a weight limit of 242 lb (110 kg) for each seat. The pilots weight must include the weight of a parachute (15 lb or 7 kg). People over 6ft 4in (193cm) may not be able to fly in our gliders. The lower weight limit is approximately 44kg (7 stone or 98 pounds). The minimum height for pupils is approximately five feet (152 cm). Please contact the office if you are unsure. |
